Bookbinding, Paper Crafts and Lettering
  • Bookbinding – Individual pages are bound into books and sketchbooks using traditional techniques such as sewn binding or adhesive binding.
  • Box making – Decorative papers and cardboard are used to create boxes, cases, and containers through precise handcrafting.
  • Paper folding / Origami – Through precise folds, a single sheet of paper is transformed into figurative or geometric forms.
  • Paper cutting (Scherenschnitt) – Cut paper motifs develop into delicate, graphic compositions with strong contrast between positive and negative space.
  • Paper marbling / Ebru* – Special pigments are applied to water or a surface, creating unique, organic patterns on paper.
  • Collage – Different paper fragments, materials, and prints are combined into new visual compositions.
  • Paper objects – Paper is used to create three-dimensional works that oscillate between image, sculpture, and material exploration.
  • Calligraphy / Lettering – The art of drawing letters with a pen or brush, either to write text in a decorative way or to create expressive letter-based compositions.
