Firing Service

Are you a hobby potter looking for a reliable way to have your ceramics fired? Then bring your pieces to our firing service. We offer both bisque firings and glaze firings up to 1280°C, and we fire stoneware as well as porcelain.

So that we can check whether your ceramics are suitable for our kiln and what the cost will be, please fill in our inquiry form and tell us which clay you used and – if it is a glaze firing – which glazes. We are also happy to advise you if you have questions about preparation or firing temperatures.

Drop-off and pick-up times

You can drop off or pick up your pieces during the Open Atelier opening hours:

Wednesday 1–8 pm · Friday 1–8 pm · Saturday 10 am–2 pm

Because holidays or other absences can mean our opening hours vary, we recommend checking the Open Atelier page to see whether an Open Atelier is taking place on the day you have in mind. In general, we appreciate it if you let us know in advance when you plan to come.

Firing times for full kiln loads

If you would like to fill a whole kiln, a firing is usually possible on Mondays or Fridays. The kiln is started in the evening; a firing takes around 48 hours.

  • With a firing started on Friday evening, your work is usually ready for pick-up on Monday from 3 pm.
  • With a firing started on Monday evening, your work is usually ready for pick-up on Wednesday from 3 pm.

But don't worry — when you drop off your work we always tell you the earliest possible pick-up date.

Firing times for individual pieces

We fire individual pieces on Wednesdays. Bisque and glaze firings alternate from week to week.

The waiting time is usually up to two weeks. When we are very busy it can, in rare cases, be up to four weeks. When you drop your work off, we can assess the current workload and tell you the expected pick-up date.

Your work is ready for pick-up at the earliest on the Friday after the respective firing, from 3 pm.
