  1. What will participants create?
    The participants will upcycle paper materials into original collages.
    They will handcraft 1-2 collages.
  2. How does the course work?
    The participants will learn collaging techniques & tricks through 2 approaches: structured purposeful collaging & free-flow intuitive collaging. To support their creative process, creativity exercises will be included.
    All materials provided: large selection of beautiful books & magazines, all tools needed to craft a collage. Special materials (dried flowers & leaves, golden leaf, acrylics) can be purchased.
  3. What do participants take home, and when?
    1-2 own artworks ready to take home after the workshop (typically A4-A3). Extra time to craft / materials to take home can be purchased.
  4. Practical information:
    Participants can also bring own materials.
    No special clothing needed.
    Photos and videos may be taken.
    All skill levels: “I´m not creative” to experienced artists.

  • Welcome: Introduce the participants & the artist (20 min)
     Please arrive on time to enjoy the full workshop time
  • Purposeful Collage: Supporting your focus, Cristian guides you on composition, color schemes and important creative choices -start with a helpful structure (45 min)
  • Break:apéro + coffee & tea offered. (15 min)
  • Intuitive Collage: Using your initial creative momentum & guidance, you follow your flow with more freedom. Create a new collage or continue the first one. (45 min)
  • Exhibition: We exhibit and admire the artworks created (25 min)

Cristian Menumortu

Cristian Menumortu is a visual artist with background in psychology & environmentalism. Collaging more than 11 years, he loves it as a meditative & playful artform which offers immediate creative reward, making it accessible for people of all skill levels. 
He is experienced at hosting creative workshops. Offering you a supportive guidance style in his workshops, he helps unlock creative potential through creativity exercises, experienced tips & tricks. He adapts well to all participants´ needs, creating space for both pure focus and socializing, both clear vision of the artwork or uncertainty. Providing stunning materials to create your own upcycled collage, he hosts a relaxing & fruitful session which leaves you confident in your creative self-expression.
